Help! Screen is always dark

Hi my screen is like always dark, before I could adjust it using NVIDIA analog displays or w/e but now it doesn't show up because i had to reinstall windows cuz my computer got overrun by a virus

    try setting on ur monitor itself

    tried that i cant change colour stuff, do u know how to get nividia analog display back on the rightclick menu tho? i already installed the drivers

    What nVidia card do you have and what OS are you running--Win98,ME,XP-home,XP pro?

    Other than that, I'd say you have your drivers loaded, but did you install the forceware? nVidia software It gives you the suite of software for changing all graphics settings.

    Ummmmm thanks hawk but the calibration thing didnt change any colours i dunno why...:(.......but i got a ASUS V9520/TD GeForce FX 5200 with TV-out and DVI and ummm i dunno which parts of that u needed but im not very good with parts n stuff sooooo its all good

    Did you install the forceware? If not click on the nVidia software link, and get the forceware. That gives you all the software for changing settings. (Like the right click for anolog display.)

    How old is the monitor?
