Well after testing, and testing the open beta is now available

For those that don't know what this is. It's the evolution of P2P file sharing, essentially it's decentralized torrents.

I have been using it over the weekend and it's still very early in the beta and seems to suffer from lockups. Right now the average is about 10,000 files online. One interesting thing is that people were bitching that it uses cyberdoor, which they say it does. However I installed it and adware/hijackthis didn't detect anything. Also (and probably because of my hosts file) it didn't serve up a single add the entire time.

However the program is still not a replacement for my usual torrent surfing yet as it's fairly new and far from stable. But if they solve the problems and more people start using it, this'll be huge.

Yeah the network is buggy as they claim and it really is dependant on what users are on at the time. If you want to get a better idea of what files are there go into your options and there is a flag for 'Dont show files 0 seeds'. By default it's got a checkmark, remove the check and you'll find more files.

The problem is it's still very new (only released publickly a few days ago) so there isn't a lot of traffic. I give it a month or two before it really starts ramping up.
