WTB: Athlon XP of some kind, cheap

At the DEMOmobile exhibition Antelope Technologies unveiled its MCC (Modular Computing Core)-solution, portable PC, equipped with 1 GHz Crusoe TM5800, 256 MB RAM, 10/15 GB HDD; it has 2D/3D graphic core Silicon Motion 722 supporting analog and LVDS displays (8 MB). The model has 6.3" LCD (supported resolution — 1024 x 768), Sound Blaster-compatible audio supporting mic in, stereo out, line in. The dimensions of the MCC are 75 x 125 x 20 mm, the weight is 258 grams. Well, the OS installed is Windows XP Professional. The device will go on sale on November, 7.

The idea is that the MCC contains processor, internal battery, memory and software applications. The power supply, display, communications and I/O devices are detached and transformed into modular accessories that a user chooses according to his individual preferences and work environment. Nowadays the company offers keyboard, portable printer, barcode scanner, mouse and display as the accessories for the MCC.
