problem with initialization of HDD with norton ghost
Running win2000 and have used ghost for many years all with good results. I have two HDD's each with 2 partitions and am running raid as just extra IDE's. My system started locking up when moving data or burning either a Cd or DVD. It appears that when I am accessing the HDD it hangs so I wanted to make a new image so I wouldn't loose all my data. Problem is when I start ghost with the boot disk and select "where to save my image to" I select one of my partitions. The problem is all my drives are called out as New_C, NEW_D, NEW_E, & NEW_F. They used to be called out as "C NEW_M". "D OLD_S." "E NEW_S." "F OLD_S." When I click on any of the drive letters it shows everything on my "C" drive. When I start windows and go to my computer all of the drives show up and the drive letters are correct. This one has me going nuts. Really need some suggestions
