last couple days, when I shut down XP Home, I get the bluescreen, saying something about a "Bad_Pool_Dump".

Only found one unhelpful hit on google.

Anybody?

First things first - test your memory:

Next up, check your hard drive - go to your HD manufacturer's website and download their diagnostic tool - it'll create a bootable floppy just like memtest - run that and do the advanced test.

Hahaha "bad pool dump" - I saw a "bad pool dump" the other day at the community pool and they had to shut the whole pool down :D

I wasn't going to say anything, but I was chuckling when that thought arose. Not to mention, whats a (good pool dump)??? Sorry, Didn't mean to hijack your thread HalOfBorq.

Found 2 things that can be related to (bad pool dump)
1st was...... The powersupply was not quite up to driving the new hardware. Its seems that as the voltage dropped away the computer would have memory or graphics crashes (mostly bad pool caller bluescreen).
2nd was....... Win XP SP2 needed to be installed.
Not trying to throw you off the track that prime has you on. Just looking for help on the subject, and this is what I've found so far.
Also, Next time you get the error, write it down with the code #'s.
That might give some idea to what is causing the problem.
