Outlook Profesional 2003 Error

edited February 2005 in Science & Tech
Hello,
When opening my microsoft outlook 2003 program I get an error message as follows

"The add-in C:\Program File\McAfee\McAfeeVirus Scan\scanmal.dll could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using detect and repair on the help menu"

I did go through the detect and repair procedure but still get the message.

How can resolve this problem and what program do you think caused it. The outlook program was just instaled in my system.

thank you,

:loco: llj

OK first of all do you currently have McAfee installed since that is what the program is looking for.

I did follow the url and a file is listed in my mcAfee virus scan file as ....."ScanEmal.dl"...and what outlook saying it can not load is.... "scanemal.dll".... the only difference is the upper and lower case letters.

Next time you open Outlook and go to Tools > Options > Other tab > Advanced Options > Add-In Manager >
If Exchange Scan is there remove it
