Unable to open Drives in My Comp/Explorer by double clicking
i messed up wid some settings in the context menu of drives and now i can no longer open drives by double clicking them. the default option is "search". so it launches the search in a new window on double clicking a drive. the only two options are "search" and "command prompt here". i cant see the "open" option. tho it is present in the context menu of folders. i can open folders by double clicking them.
when i try to create a new item in the context menu for drives in "file types" it asks for a command. what should i give in so that when i double click on any drive in my computer it open the contents of the drive in the same window? please help............

Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder Options>File Types
Choose the 'drive' type then in advanced make an option called open and set the program to explorer that will at least get you to open the drive.
Ignore the find thing I was thinking of something else.

It's done different with XP.
however i wud like to kno the command for future ref. os is windows xp pro sp2.
No that's how it works in all versions. However if there is a different way to do it in XP I'd be most curious to find out.l
Control Panel Folder Options.
Otherwise this needs better explaining.
