6600gt by pny help!

Whern i try to boot my computer with the 6600 in it it hangs indefinetaly at the post screen whats teh problem anyone know? i have a 420watt ps by raid max

    AGP or PCIe.

    the card is agp. I have a msi socket 754 mobo with an xp64 3000 and 512 megs corsair ram and a 420 watt ps

    When you say it hangs indefinetaly at the post screen, do you mean that you can or can't get into the bios?

    Try puting back in your old card and reseting your bios to "optimized defaults" it may be a agp setting, or what ever, for your old card won't work for the new one.

    that is assuming this is a new card, and there is an old one.

    i figured it out! its just that the card doesnt like the turbo system setting in my msi bios....weird huh?

    Not necessarily. That setting may have increased the speed of the AGP bus, which could cause the card to have issues. :)
