I just installed Ghost 9 and I get this message:

[High Priority] An error occurred creating backup of drive
C:\ The Virtual Volume Imaging Driver(pqv2i.sys) is not present on the system

Does anyone know about this?

I did have to delete the 1 image I made, to reformat the drive.

I have also un-installed and re-installed Ghost and the problem persists.

The new Ghost still requires Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 be on your machine, or the software won't run right. Do you have that installed. If not, here's a link to the DL... Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1

I've searched this subject and theres a bunch of people having the very same problem. I haven't seen one cure for the problem except 1-2 that used the add-remove program removal, and it worked for them, but not others. I'll keep looking, but in the meantime you can try Symantec support to see if their techs have any ideas. I'm sure they've already had people calling them on this.Symantec Ghost 9 Support

Sorry I haven't gotten back sooner, Hawk. Yea I've tried the add/remove to no avail. I'll e-mail Symantec and maybe just sell it.

In Lew of Ghost, what's an inexpensive back-up program.

Me again, I went to Symantec Support and they have nothing on this problem. Apparently they have issues w/ SP-2. I don't have time for them. Never liked them very much anyhow. I will sell Ghost at school and use ??

    there is this http://www.feyrer.de/g4u/#whatisit

It's not as friendly as ghost but it does work and it's free. However read the instructions as you can seriously screw up if you don't.

it's about howe changing logo with som program like StyleXp or Boot Xp made you get that error messages
I had the same problem..uninstall and re-install Norton Ghost 9 - that didn't make any chnages, got the same error message
but when I resets the settings and delete the program (BootXP) it worked agian - didn't have to delete and re-install Norton Ghost 9

Thnx malpasen, That seems to be the problem and answer to it! Appreciate the input.
Resetting 'Boot.ini' & Reset 'Kernel' seems to fix it, for those that tried it.
    And Welcome to Icrontic.
