Windows XP & AutoCAD 2000

edited March 2005 in Science & Tech
When I tried to install AutoCAD 2000 into my pc with Windows XP, it said AutoCAD 2000 is for Windows 95 & 98. When I checked on the AutoCAD website, they did not mention if AutoCAD 2000 is compatible with Windows XP. (May be AutoCAD 2000 is too old for them to do test). Could somebody please tell me if there is some ways/tricks to install AutoCAD 2000 into Windows XP? (AutoCAD 2000 is okay to me and upgrading it is quite expensive).

You may get lucky and have it instal and run in win98 mode under XP but I seriously doubt it. YOu need autocad 2002 IIR. The alternative is to create a system that dual boots into 98.
