new graphics card

just bought a new nvidea 6600 (non GT) 128 meg card. Its was one of the easiest installs ive ever had absolutely no probs my old card was a radeon 9600 256meg card just before installing the new card i benchmarked it with aquamark and got a score of 28000 @ 1280x1024 resolution with the new card its increased to just over 31000 @ 1280x1024 now thats what i call a nice upgrade especially as the 6600 cost me £88 inc postage so should make most of that back on ebay LOL

not tried over clocking it yet might be interesting to see what i can get

    well in 3dmark 2005 in standard mode it got 4485 ive not tweaked any settings yet though

    just did a modest overclock using riva tuners suggestions

    before 300 core 500 memory

    now 375 core 625 memory

    3dmark 20005 result before 4485

    3dmark 2005 result now 5529

    aquamark 3 before 31000

    aquamark 3 now 35255

    bearing in mind these tests were done using dual monitors i reckon if i turned the dual monitor support off i would get even better results but seeing as i always use dual monitors it gives me a rough idea of the realtime scores i would normally get
