Several functions just appear for a split second

Several functions ie: ctl alt ddel
executing regedit.exe
CMODE dail up software
just blink for a split second and then disappear. Yhe program soes not execute anb there is no entry on the task bar. Virus?

    could be a virus, could be a corrupted file(s)

    Start with scanning for viruses using an online virus scanner symantec has one. Then check spy/ad ware then if still necessary you'll have to do a repair install to fix the damaged files.
