Planar LCD monitor

i have a planar lcd monitor model #ct1744nu with speakers and usb connections it powers up light goes from blinking green to steady green seems like it wants to get a pic but none .is this something simple or is it time to say goodbye to it .

    First, welcome to Icrontic.

    Second, I really hate reading posts with poor grammar/punctuation/capitalization. It would be much appreciated if you took an extra two seconds to hold the shift key, or press the period key. Thanks. :)

    And, now that I've reprimanded you (Hehe, no harm meant), Have you tried connecting it to a different computer? Are you sure your current video card works? Test it by connecting another known working monitor to it.Try your LCD on a different computer that you know outputs a video signal.

    Make sure you're also outputting a signal the monitor can handle. I'm assuming it's a 17". Most 17" LCD's only handle up to 1024x768 if I'm not mistaken. Keep your refresh rate at something the monitor can handle as well.

    Also did you put any new hardware on the computer??? Did you tried removing some hardware to see if it works??? Maybe the computer beeps but you don`t have coonected the internal speaker on the mobo.
