AVI file conversion

OK, I have an AVI file that I want to place on to DVD.

It plays audio fine on the PC, but when I try to set it up with other AVI's and add a menu so as to have a real style DVD, the audio portion does not come through on only that AVI. The two progies that I have that do this type of thing are Pinnacle studio 8 and Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3 SE. Neither one will accept the audio of this file. The Pinnacle studio 8 states that it can't initialize playback, it may be used by a different program(which it is not). HELP

    Here's a couple--free--Don't know how well they work. You'll have to try them. STOIK VideoConverter 2.0 , AVI to VCD/SVCD/DVD Converter 2.48 , ImTOO AVI MPEG Converter.

    Man I tried 4 different progies last night, and not one of them would "complete" the process unless I "purchased the license for the product" :eek1: :yell1:

    I just want to convert 1 file, not 100! :fu:

    Hehehe, Yea, I got a kick out of it when I saw it in another site forum, so I borrowed it.
    I'll keep looking for another prog. for you. If I find any I'll let you know.
