Workstation Video Card using DirectX

edited April 2005 in Hardware
I am expecting delivery of a new Sun w2100z dual Opteron 250 system in the next 2 weeks. My question is about the included QuadroFX 3000 video card. I know its a workstation video card and blah blah blah, but I am wondering what experience owners of these kinds of video cards have had in Windows games like Doom 3, etc.

I am thinking of putting the card up on Ebay and getting a DirectX card. If anyone is curious:

• 2 AMD Opteron 250 CPU (2.4 GHz processor)
• 4 1 GB RAM, DDR1/400Mhz Registered ECC DIMMs (PC3200)
• 1 73GB, Ultra320 SCSI Hard disk drive
• DVD-CDRW Optical Media
• NVIDIA QUADRO FX3000 Graphics Accelerator
• 2 firewire ports, 5 USB2.0 ports
• 1 10/100/1000 Ethernet port
• 5 PCI-X slot
• 1 AGP8x slot for Graphics

Thanks,
Robert
