I guess my K7S5A is dead. :(

Well, I went to swap a new HSF onto the parent's system, and now it wont boot (fans spin, but no beeping, video, etc).

I've tried everything I could think of: Reseating video card, replacing heatsink, replacing old heatsink, reconnecting board, replacing CPU, trying original CPU in another board, resetting CMOS... everything points to the board.

So unless anyone can think of something else I haven’t tried, could someone please suggest a stable, no-frills, cheap mobo?

I cant test the RAM if it wont boot.

And the only other comp I own that accepts SD133 is in Lansing (an hour away). :(

The Via KT266 and KT333 boards should be found cheap, tho you don't say what processor and primary usage...OK parents, I kin prolly guess, nothing too intense? If you want to go a small step up, the MSI K7N2-L, which is low end nForce2, is very stable and easy to run @ default type settings, should be cheap.
