Is DDR at 400MHz fast enough for my P4 2.8GHz w/800MHz FSB w/ HT, or is the ram slowing me down?

nope, that's perfectly fine
DDR for AMD system is 400mhz ddr, operate at 200fsb,, and DDR=double bla,, bla, so it's 400mhz like it says,
but for the intel system, it's quad pumped, and that's perfectly sfine speed, not slowing down at all.

When you say "slowing you down" what do you mean? please explain, is it when loading up files, or on the internet? It shouldn't be your ram slowing you down, what kind are you using?

You need 2 sticks of that RAM to have the proper bandwidth.
He mean are there any bottlenecks on the RAM side. Not with 2 sticks of PC3200.
