Outlook Express 6- unable to delete IMAP folder

Hopefully someone can help me here. We're having some trouble in our office when trying to delete IMAP folders in OE6. Whenever I try to delete such a folder, I get the error:
"Your folder could not be deleted: the IMAP server refused to delete it. If the folder no longer exists, you should refresh your folder list for this IMAP server.
If you click on "Details>>>", the following message is shown:
"Permission denied
Configuration:
Account: server
Server: server
User name: andrewj
Protocol: IMAP
Port: 143
Secure(SSL): 0
Code: 800cccd2"
The email server was not set up by myself, but I do know that it is running Linux, Fetchmail, Procmail and Cyrus. To be honest, not being very familiar with Linux, I don't know much about this setup.
Any help here would be appreciated.
