Windows Problem

edited May 2005 in Science & Tech
This is the error message that I have (3) Total:
Window Systems Error
Error in Winsock Module Connection Structure is unknown
Possible problem is antivirus or firewall blocking services.exe;smss.execsrss.exe.

I have turned off the XP Systems Firewall and Engima and that is all that I have as far as security. And I am still getting these three windows popping up.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Also if this is the wrong topic to post on I apologize This is my first entry on this website.

Any help is appreciated
Thanks in advance
Cruz

Nope you've got it in the right topic area.

Before you start messing around have you recently done anything to your system before these things started happening? For example upgrading to Service Pack 2.

I doubt windows firewall is causing the issue I'm more inclined to think the problem lies with Enigma try uninstalling it and see if the problem remains. Then install it again.

Thanks bro I will try that right now. I did upgrade to service pack two just recently so I will uninstall SP2 and see what happens...

uninstalling SP2 may cause severe issues on your machine. I've uninstalled it a few times now and 75% of the time it's required a clean re-install as the unisntall made matters worse.

I would first suggest uninstalling enigma and turning on the xp firewall shit. Then if that fixes the problem use something other then enigma like AVG for example.
