NO video on my new computer

edited May 2005 in Hardware
i've built my web server (P3 800mhz, Asus CUSL2 mobo, 256mb pc133 ram), put everything together, and now I cannot get any video to show up on the screen! No BOIS- nothing. There are no post beeps either. I have the internal speaker and everything plugged in. I've tried it with the integrated video, and with an old AGP video card. Any help would be great. Thanks! :help:

well, i would try the following.

remove everything from the mobo, just leave cpu/ram/ onboard videocard.
if it doesnt come up, try removing one of the sticks (if your using many sticks of ram)
if your using only 1 stick try changing slots.
reset the bios using the jumpers or remove the battery.

does the fan spin on the heatsink?

ok i've tried booting with just cpu/ram and it still doesnt work. I have tried resetting the bios by shorting two certain leads on the mobo, and removed the cmos battery. When I get home, I'll mess around with the RAM and slots. I didn't think of that- thanks.

also disconnect your drives and see if it gives you some errors.
