ok. a friend of mine gave me his prolink pixelview 5600 golden.
i made some mods on the card for cooling and i would like to know if anyone knows what is the highest temp that the card can handle. And how much difference in temps is there from gpu to heatsing??? i mean if the heatsink is about 35c about how many celsious would the card gpu be???

Wow, our systems are now yet even more similar. I don't know about the temps exactly, but I have a passive heatsink on mine and have never had trouble. I took the original extremely loud fan off.

To relate to your question, I guess it would depend on the compound you used and what type of heatsink or heatsink-fan. What are you using?

i am using the stock cooler but i have putted an extra fan on the gfx. Basically i did this beacuse the card is covered with a huge heatsink and is cooled only by a tiny fan that was not working probebly. So now the heatsink runs by 13c cooler. I also fitted an extra small fan that gives the fan that is already on it some extra boost so it can spin at the right rpms.

airoh69, That's a good drop in temps. Here's a site where you can convert temps either way. And you can even download the temp converter program if you like. onlineconversion.com
