here's the deal:

got ati 9000pro 64mg, and 9250 128mg cards in two different comps. runs fine and all in both, happy with the performance. but on each computer when mircosoft word (xp, or 2003) is running (at random times) the screen goes totally fuzzy, like the pixels don't know what the hell to do. i reinstalled new drivers on one and it's seeming to work now. but that pisses me off, anybody else ever come across anything like this?

No I haven't personally experienced that but overall I've been less then pleased with ATI over Nvidia. They may be cheaper and spec wise perform well but they can never seem to get their drivers right and that causes all sorts of problems. Now this is in reference to high end machines, for standard business type systems I have no problems with ATI.

never seen this problem, although my nVidia sometimes has trouble (driver depending) at the 1184x960 (somethin close to that) kind of similar to your problem, I forget which drivers, they are some of the fairly new ones, the old ones never gave me trouble.

I am an equal opportunity graphics card holder.
