SATA controller card suggestion please

Hi. My system's IDE and SATA ports are all in use. I would like to add more SATA hard disks into the system. But which controller card would be best for me? Abit NF7-S mobo. I not interested in RAID as I want each HD to have its own data channel for better read/write operations when I do my video editing. Also, is NCQ any good for use with big files, as I can't find a 2 or 4 port controller card with this capability. I've seen a 8-port card by Highpoint (RocketRAID 2220) that features NCQ, but its a PCI-X format, so cant use that one in my current mobo. The HD's I intend to add are either the Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 10/Maxline III, or Seagate Barracuda 400GB. Is the Adaptec ASH-1210SA good, or the Highpoint Rocket RAID 1640, or the cheap Vantec Serial ATA PCI Host Card?

All comments appreciated. Thanks in advance.
