Sony burner crap?!

i have teh SONY DVD CD burner and i can get it to burn dvd's with no problem but it just won't burn cd's?!?!

and i already have updated my firmware and all teh settings and udpates for the burner any ideas?

    Make sure that with whatever software you are using you are telling the software that you are trying to burn a cd and not a dvd.

    I have a sony burner and use nero. Be sure to check that you are the little tab in the upper righthand corner says CD, not dvd (Nero version 6). Ive never had a single problem with mine.
