How do I seperate the heat sink from my cpu when I used the supplied paste from ASUS? Seems my mobo went south so I RMA'd and am now installing the new one. Problem is I cannot properly install the cpu in its socket and lock it down with the heat sink stuck to it. :help: Bruce

Did you pull the heatsink and the cpu out together before the RMA?
    Can you twist them seperatly?

You will have trouble if you just pull them strait apart (that causes a vacuum), so put a small flat object in between the two and pry from one side. Small flat screwdriver, or thick credit cart, etc....

I'd recomend the credit card over the screw driver because the screw drive can scrape the core if you aren't careful.
