EVE Online is a great game! But it requires too much of my time so I stopped playing a while back.
Thanks guys for doing that for me! Just curious, what's the problem of those guys? As far as I know I did a friendly approach here, am I right (I hope so)? Well, its okay with me as long as I know what I'm doing!
BTW Zuntar, if you dont mind about online games?!? 'Bout the link, for me it's prety good & cool! Have you seen it already? What did you say?

Hello everyone I see that you guys are all talking about online games ... I was wondering if anyone here has played Socom 3? I am looking to get in a clan but want to know some of the members before I join. I like how in this game there are so many people able to play at once.
Missy, my most humble appologies. As Gnome stated, we have been getting alot of spam here..... well enough explaining......clicking the link now..........
in a word SWEET!!!!! I so wish I had time to get involved with somthing like that!
Well since i just cancelled my W0W account ill try eve for a while see if i like it, Ive always liked space games and a MMORP with ships sounds F'n sweet
I haven't played Eve recently, though I did try it in the early stages. I must admit that it's a beautiful looking game, and it sounds like there's a lot of player freedom in it.
Personally I fall more into the WoW category for online games, and I'm especially excited for one called Vanguard. It's being developed by a company called Sigil, which is made up of many of the original EQ developers who bailed from Sony. Many people attribute EQ's success to these originators, and are of the belief they will be able to bring excitement to an over-saturated genre. I happen to think so too, but we have yet to see. Although it's not Sci-Fi, and I'm still waiting for a Sci-Fi game that's right for me -- tried SWG and I got bored, and Anarchy Online doesn't pull my trigger.
I'll be honest. I got up to level 45 with my Mage in WoW and the boredom started to kick in. I just couldn't get myself to do anymore "kill 20 of monster X and return to me" quests, and I had a hard time finding groups for raiding instances, because I couldn't play until late or I was doing tasks people already completed and didn't want to do again. So as a result my gear sucked because I never could complete any elite quests with the good payoffs. Also, no offense to our younger audience, but I wanted to play with people my own age, and I always seemed to end up being in groups with kids. Seriously, one kid was like 6 or 7, and kept asking me, "how do u do this qwest...u there? hello?" Ask you dad, and let me know when he is on so I can group with him instead. I'm not a big PVP'er so maybe there's no hope for me, because I'm not sure what would keep my interest at this point. But a decent social aspect would be a good start.

Played Eve for a couple of days, I have to say, that their avatar creation process is great. It's unbelievable fun creating a face with their system, it's worth to get a free trial just to try that out.
What I don't like is the skill training system though, instead of killing things, you click on something and then it will train itself in a certain amount of hours or days, or for those higher up in the food chain, even weeks or months.
Basicly you can get a skill like ie. Dreadnought Piloting, and it will say that it will take 20 days 13 hours and 12 minutes to train. You log off, the timer continues. If you read up on the official Eve Forums, which are a great source of info, you will see that some peeps have developed a system where their characters are constantly training skills, they log on, they know when a certain skill will finish training and click a new one, log off, and so the round goes.
Other than that, it's lots of fun buying your starship, owning more than few actually, and equipping them with loads of different devices/weapons, and there is a lot of those, and I mean a lot. The game is very purdy itself too, although I wish you could land on planets and explore them. Maybe once upon a day there will be an MMORPG where you can get starships, explore completely freely, planets, asteroids, land and build houses on them, whateva. SWG comes close to that, but not close enough yet.
Also, I think the 14 day trial link Missy supplied for us will give her a free month of playtime, if whoever signs up with it will decide to stay with the game. hehe

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
Hmmm, pretty good! You could try their latest free beta if you want! Here it is:

Have fun! Your brain will really work here!
