Xbox 360... *sigh*

edited November 2005 in Gaming
Did anyone else see the 360 in action and feel... a little less whole? I mean, CoD2 looks better on my PC, and my PC only cost like $150 more. I know all the first gen games are going to be lackluster (and single threaded, meh), but all that hype, and they ended up shooting a blank. In my book, anyway. Let's hope it gets better.

Haven't seen it in action yet, don't really care. Until it's hacked and fully modded it raises no desire in me at all.

Though I must admit I'm actually pretty psyched about the Nintendo Revolution.

I was there on release day for every last gen console. I still have a PS2, XBox, and Gamecube. I play them a lot, and I love all three consoles.

I was excited about the 360 for a little bit, but then it just took a dive for me. I'm now glad I didn't preorder, and I haven't kept up with it much in the last month. Truthfully, I don't care yet. I'm going to wait for the Christmas rush to be over, and probably for a price drop.

I'm not going to dish out an assload of money for something that hasn't impressed me much. Too much hype, Microsoft. You shot yourselves in the foot I think.

In my opinion they should have waited at least another year before releasing the xbox 360. The xbox has still got a lot of live left in it with it's current technology and the games that have been coming out are still getting better. The technology just isn't obsolete yet.

The xbox360 though, they jumped the gun. They are trying to get their foot in the door before Nintendo and Sony with this one. If they had learned from Sega at all getting your console out first is usually the kiss of death. People now are smart enough to wait and see what's next.

Yeah, I've lost my enthusiasm for the 360... maybe once all the good games start rolling out, and when my PC becomes total POS and not worth upgrading (I'm getting tired of spending $$$).

But... one thing that did catch my eye was pics of some dude running it (dev kit actually) on a Dell 2405fpw monitor... and it actually looked really good.

Hook any console up to a monitor and it'll instantly look twice as good to a TV. It's all about the resolution.

I agree with Kryyst. Ever notice how EVERY 360 demo you see is on a widescreen LCD monitor? Those things are gorgeous. You are gonna be dissapointed when you take it home to your 30" tube.
