Ewido anti-spyware

Grisoft (makers of AVG) now have their own anti-spyware version and staying true to form offer two versions a commercial and a free one. I set up the free one on my home system (first 30 days has full commercial functionality) and it seems to be very stable and robust. The free version works much the same as ad-aware in that it doesn't do realtime scanning. Personally with firefox and ad-block pluggins I'm not too woried about realtime scanning and prefer not to take the performance hit as insignificant as it may be.

Anyway if you don't have anti-spyware software or are looking for something new give it a shot.

No problem sharring is caring afterall.

I've done a few scans now and it does seem to beat out Ad-aware in the full system scan. Neither one is beating the other out in terms of what it's finding as I don't have any on my system other then the standard tracking style cookies. I do think though I'll personally start recomending Ewido over ad-aware to my non-computer techy type people because they can at least get AVG from the same site (same page actually). Makes that bit of my life a little easier.
