I just got Max Payne 2 and was wondering what the best setup would be on this P4 with HT. I have not even installed it yet but was curious what you guys thought. Should I run it with no Clients running or leave one client running and run the game on the other processor? Or do you think I could leave both clients running? I will likely try all iterations but was curious if you had any thoughts.
Some specs.
P4 3.0 HT
1028 ram (2 x 512 ) dual channel
Ti 4200 128 4x

no OC all stock timings, no heat issues 45c full load

thanks

Scott

IMHO you should try the game with no clients and then try with both and see if there's a slowdown. If there is a slow down, then try with just one client.

Remember, it's not REALLY two processors. So if you're running one program on "one" processor and another on the "other" -- they're still running on the same processor. Hyperthreading is quite unlike having dual procs.. I would say just to pause folding while you play like a lot of people do.
