i actually need something like 450. i did not mention in my sig that i have 2 cold cathode lamps, an aerocool coolpanel, bluetooth (connected on usb), one thrustmaster game pad (usb) , the cpu is oced to 3.46ghz with 1.5v, i need 123w for cpu. i have added on the geforce the nv silencer cooler, the sound card is working on 5.1 sourround, i have an external usb hd and most of the times my memory stick is connected on the usb.
Yea, I just used what you had in your sig. So yah, you are close to the limit of your PSU as a "best guess". "Anything" that delivers power should not be have to output more then 75% to 80% of its max rated current.
Don't short change yourself on quality for quantity when you get a new PSU.
None of them are bad, but i dont like the Purepower Power Station 520W one. too much extra crap.
I like the OCZ one, but it looks like your a thermaltake guy, so check out the
rest of the ToughPower series. there are others that could be stronger for about the same price.
I also realy like what I have the Aerocool 620W ZeroDBA Modular. Nice cables nice clean power and strong to boot. Just do your research and look for asmany articles on your top choces as you can find.
Oh yah Toms hardware has some nice thorough reviews to compare with.;)
