Dark Screen

Not sure where this falls...but thought I would start here...

All my DVD's are playing dark...like I cant see people in caves and stuff...is there something I am missing? (oh...and yessss...my brightness is all the way up!...lol)

    What program are you using to play dvd's with?

    Roxio...also have MP on here too...think they both were dark...but will try MP now...

    Also not sure if you have this option in your display settings > advanced there is an overlay option that i believe is activated during video playback where you can adjust brightness, etc.

    where exactly is that...i checked my display props first looking for somekind of brightness thing..but didnt see anything.....

    If i right click on desktop > properties > settings (tab) > advanced > overlay (tab).

    It might just be a ati driver thing though.

    Nope...all mine has is : Gen, Adapter, Mon, Trouble, and Color Mangement

    Hmm, have you tried installing the newest drivers from your vid card's website? Or are you using the default drivers that windows xp has?

    Also in WMP if you go into view>enhancements> video settings you can adjust brightness there,

    considering when i got to the site it is no longer there i think I am out of luck....w/ the drivers....

    Will check the WMP
