got AIW 9800 pro, now Tribes 2 doesnt run well..?

i went from a geforce 3 ti200 to a AIW radeon 9800 pro, and for some reason Tribes 2 runs horribly. Even with the graphics down, the FPS is terribly low.

Every other game runs great. 3dmark has good scores. I'm using 3.7 drivers.

    Never played Tribes2 but is there an option under "Display" in the game to change the primary display driver or device? Or to configure video from the Windows start menu? Sounds like it could be running under a software renderer, tho this is just a guess.

    ive tried it on direct 3d, and open GL modes.

    Tribes 2 is quite old, and may have problems with newer generation 3D cards. Try rolling back drivers a bit and see if that helps.

    Try turning off AA and AF from the ATI Control panel.
