Does anyone have any thoughts or working knowledge of a good gaming laptop that will run Battlefield 2 without choking for under $1500?

GeForce Go 7600

Dude, I would stick with the GO 7600, for BF2 and newer games, the 7300 is not very good for "newer" games.

Zuntar, thanks for the info. I definitely want the 7600 with 128 bit. Do you know if the go 7400 is 64 or 128?
I would rather have the Sager that LOKI sent but it is way out of my price range.:( Thanks LOKI!

7400 is basically the same as the 7300 just a tad faster. Still 64-bit tho.

My dell inspiron 9300 with the XPS laptop bios, upgraded battery, power supply, and Go 7800GTX ran BF2 without breaking a sweat.
I followed this guide:

Beware that this seriously voids the warranty, but for about $1650 I had a screaming laptop.
