PS2 modding starter guide

I just finished modding my xbox and now am thinking about modding my PS2. I honestly don't know much about it so I was wondering if anybody out there could give a few tips or direct to a few websites that could give me "ALL" the information I need to know. At the moment all I have is one of the new "slim" PS2's. And I'm not sure...should I use a boot disc or install a mod chip? That's all I know. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Boot disks work fine if you don't mind constantly swapping. Modchips are the permanent and better solution. I know the 1st gen PS2's you could get external mod devices that just plugged into the back of the PS2. I'm not sure if they still work on the slim versions.

LOL... Apparently I know just a "little bit more than you(but not much) on this subject at least. I know that you can get some of internal HD "extender" from a few places. But my problem is that at the moment they only work on the slightly older version(e.g. V14-V15 or something like that...), either way I know they don't work for the V16 which is what I have. Any other info would be great.

Your best bet is to hit Ebay. Newer versions will require you to actually know something about rewriting a bios on a board. And if I were you, I'd choose my words better.

What exactly is "If I were you, I'd choose my words better." supposed to mean?
