PSP not so bad..

I've had a psp for roughly two weeks, friend lent/gave one to me, He referrs to it as mine, so it might as well be, and I'm glad because it's become quite a useful tool to me.
Anyway. I'm sitting here, listening to SKY.FM since PSPRadio doesn't support uvox, or I'd be listening to my XM streams. Earlier today, I was watching Heartbreak Ridge on it, and then Ranma 1/2 while I was doing dishes. I use MSN on it, I read my Email on it, I even take it to the bathroom sometimes and hit a message board or two while me and my heartburn part ways, or listen to music while I'm shaving, or brushing my teeth, or screaming at the dog because she's laying in a water puddle. I hate that dammed dog.
Although all of it's benefits, it has it's flaws. Since I need custom firmware to use software off of a memory stick(Such as PSPRadio), the extremely short battery life. Two and a half hours of wireless use, weather surfing the interbutt, or listening to Sky.FM with the backlight down. Incompatibility with media (Everything should play frickin' Ogg Media and Mastroka Media. Everything. Even if it doesn't have a screen.) Crappy built in speakers that at an audible level sound like you're listening through a plastic cup. Has IR, but what the hell for? Nothing's IR for the PSP, it's all over the integrated 802.11B device that has short range, and the only thing in my house other than my wireless router that supports WPA2 since my Dlink doesn't. Pain in the ass...
For what it's worth retail (230 bucks for the starter package), it's alright. It's not phenomenal, and until someone puts linux on it, it's still just a toy.

The DS can be modded to do some neat things - like play movies off an SD card. However primarily it's a game. machine and when it comes down to it, for my needs it's got the better set of games.
