Turbo mode. Wow!

edited November 2003 in Hardware
I decided to try this little option in my mb's bios called turbo mode. Looks like it adjusted the memory timings and who knows what else but i got about a 1k boost in 3d mark 2001se. (about 17300 now)

Yeah, thats all the modes do. Normally a "Auto by SPD" "Normal" "Turbo" and "Ultra" mode. It just set the RAM at incrementaly faster speeds repectively (other than SPD which just reads the RAMs settings and uses those).

Hmm, on second thought this might have had an adverse affect on my textures. Is this possible or is it my imagination?

It's normally graphics RAM that causes texture curruption, not system RAM. System RAM running too high normally just causes crashes or CTDs.
