Java Crash

I am getting this error:

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.6.000.16414 ModName: jvm.dll ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00050e18

Now....to by pass I have to use Firefox....so how do I fix this?

    have you tried downloading and doing a manual install of java?

    If you mean of "Java 2"...I believe this has been done...it has appeared on my start menu...which makes me think that he tried this...however...he did it from w/ in windows I think...is there a newer version than 1.3.1?

    Where are you getting the JRE from? I find Sun's own website to be the best ( https://sdlc3b.sun.com/ECom/EComActionServlet;jsessionid=FBED73FFADD228F177FF17CC2CBC04C1 ).

    By the way, Sun decided to be "cool" and change their numbering convention, so the newest Java platform is actually Java 6.
