Firefox Shift+Enter

Ok, so this is a little thing about Firefox that has stuck around forever, and it bugs me to no end. If you type an address in (just the hostname i.e. "icronticforums.com") and hit Shift and Enter at the same time, it wraps the address with a www.[typed address].com.net. I am just curious if I am the only person who notices this/gets really annoyed by it , or if anybody knew why Firefox even does that.

Cuz your sorta using it wrong.

the idea is to put in just icrontic then if you want it padded with www/net do shift+enter if you want it padded with www/com do ctrl+enter.

Yeah but saving a site as a favorite is like making a commitment and some people just aren't ready for that kind of a relationship :naughty:

If I bookmark the site my other bookmarks might get jealous, and then I will have to sleep on the couch.

I just had to rant about this feature. Is there a way to turn it off? When I am using my laptop I will hit enter and shift at the same time every once in a while since the whole keyboard is flat and smooth.
