Am not right in that I should be able to create as many connections as I wish under connections? Like mine is only letting me have one lan, one wireless, and one other.

???

You can create a new connection from the pane on the left. But generally you make connections by device and not by network.

i try that and it doesnt do anything...it gets back towhat we talked about before...

For the next 6 mths I am going to be in a different place where the connection can be LAN or wireless but its different. While when I am back in my area I have to use a dedicated IP address and then when I go home its on my WAP....

Just seems like it all should be easier than having to reset everthing all the freakin time....I am home for 2 days, at the office for 1 and then out of town for 5 so you can see my issue...LOL

    JUST A PAIN....

Nope sorry your stuck with that headache. Some laptops like newer IBM's have a connection manager that allows you to setup different connection settings based on where you are. But it's a front end and isn't actually dropping new connections into connection manager. At best XP allows you to setup two connections for one place but that's really used to set one location to use dhcp and if dhcp isn't available it flips to a static session.

this brings me to another question and we touched on it a little bit before. I know at one time I had my OL setup so that I would use 1 of 2 servers. When I was switching from Bellsouth to Charter, I kept my BS email acount for a while to make sure I had changed all the necessary addresses. Outlook would try to send it w/ one SMTP and then through the other. Why can I not do the same for my home and office?....

Gonna put this in the other post though so we dont get too confused!...

    TIA

You can have multiple accounts but the server won't switch automatically. You have to hit the accounts pull down tab each time you send the email to select the correct account.

    thats what I was thinking...

So I can have 3 email accounts all collecting from the same place but sending to 3 different Outgoings?....Will that cause a Incoming issue?
