This is really starting to piss me off...am I just an idiot or what...

I want to have a WORK and Personal Calendar.

I am trying to import my WORK Calendar from my work LT. I figure I should do this through .pst....well dang it..the data keeps getting put in my personal calendar on my DT. My personal calendar is my default on my DT...I jsut created a work one.

What am I doing wrong?

All running 03.

do you have a multiple .pst files? Like say the default outlook.pst and then a personal.pst or a work.pst? If not they will all go into the same place. If you do then you need to be active in the right .pst file for the import to work.

lost me K...but think u are headed in the right direction...

    This is the deal...

We have 7 Field units w/ a Districe Supor. The Districe Supor wants to "import" (guessing that the right word) the FUs calendars in to a calendar. So on his Outlook he is going to have 2 calendars side by side. One is his personal work schedule. The other is his FU schedules. Color coded and crap...anyway...every time I import a .pst it goes straight to the CALENDAR and not my TEST Calendar...

Does that all make sense? Kinda told u more than u needed about the FUs and such...but though knowing the reasoning would help the overall picture.

Makes sense. What you need to do is create a new pst file so from the main outlook program go file>new>Outlook Data file. You'd then create 1 for each seperate calendar you want to keep. So if he wasn't his own and 1 other that will be the group one you'd create 1 additional data file (that's your .pst file).

So now in your outlook you should see an Archive, a Personal and a whatever you called it. In each one it'll have seperate contacts, calendar's, inboxs etc...

You then import the various other info into which ever calendar you want when you do the import option.

Some where after the create I got lost...

Lets add names to these and just treat it as my own...

I have my calendar (Calendar)...now I want to create on for another FU (Bob)...

Now I went to file>new>Outlook data....Labeled that Bob...

Now what?...I see the new calendar now labeled BOB...but to import this...I assume its the usual thing..but when I come to the point where it asks which file and to replace, duplicate, etc....

If I hit that next button whats going to happen? I dont want all his crap in my calendar...LOL...if it doesnt act right...

So you do file import from .pst and find the .pst file your going to import with the browse button. Then set your replace/allow/do not option and hit next.

The next screen will ask you where you want to import that information to and will have two pull downs. The top pull down will be a graphical folder view and see if Bob is listed along with personal folders. If not below that there is another pull down that goes along with the Import items into the same folder in: toggle. Bob should be in that pull down list.

You need to actually delete the .pst file to fully get rid of it.
