Little background...my nimrod FTI didnt want to take the time of just doing something the right way and had me install a printer and 3rd party software to my pc...well that has caused all kinds of issues...but oh no...lets just plug this usb printer in...bam...bam bam...now my system is going crazy...

It has slowed to a crawl and sticking left and right...

What I have done to this point:

Restored to a prior point usig SR...

Now I am working my way through the startups and enabling one by one to find out what it is that is causing the issue...

Does anyone else have of a better way?

Did this start today? If so, Microsoft updates are probably the cause.

    See here: http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56247

Otherwise, it sounds like you've pinpointed the 3rd party app.

well....hmmm...I havent figured out what started or how it stopped...I asummed it was the third party app and did a restore...

the everything went crazy and after playing w/ the startups I got pissed off and had lunch...came back and booted her up normal and all seems well..CRAZY...

Anyone want to tackle that one?

    LOL

Read your post CY...that sounds about right...on two of my restarts I showed it installing like a total of like 16 updates...
