Just installed a new onboard graphics so I decided to re-install hexen 2 and see if I could run GLHexen. I tryed, but then I receieved an error message stating "glide2x.dll" not found. So then I downloaded this file off the internet, the tryed to run GLHexen again. This time I recevied 3 different errors: "Genport I/O initialization failure" then grSstSelect: non-existant SST"
then "wglCreateContact failed". So if anybody has any ideas on how to solve this problem it would be greatly appreaciated.

GLSetup is only for Win9x systems. Opengl support is already included for Win2k/XP. To my knowledge The GLIDE2X.DLL file is only used by 3Dfx Voodoo Graphics cards.

In short, don't use the GL versions of the games.

Oh ok well thanks then for the info. So in other words don't use the GL versions of games AT ALL for XP if I don't have a voodoo graphics card?

To the best of my knowledge you are correct.

You could always emulate glide with a glide wrapper.

It’s a nice way to play the older games as they should look. UT99 still looks best on one of these things...

    This one is my favourite.

Ok I download GlideWrapper and when I tryed to run GLHexen 2 I received an error stating "wglCreateContect failed", what does this mean?

Hmm no clue, did a quick Google search and some people have found deleting opengl32.dll from the game directory fixes it.

Might be worth moving it to a safe place in case you need it again rather than deleting it though.

Ok I moved the opengl32.dll, this time it booted but no picture (i.e. I couldn't see anything BUT I could here the sound when I hit the up down key.)

What graphics card do you have the glide warper might not support it.
