Is ther any reseon to get the latest version?
What i mean is I have been stuck w/ roxio for yrs and now i am ready to go out on a limb and get Nero, but sometimes the newest isnt always the best bang for the buck!
If there are no major enhancements or functions to the latest over one of the older versions than it is much cheaper to get an older one...
Thx for the insight

6.6.x supports dual layer DVDs, CDs, multi-session discs, Audio CDs and video DVD creation; that's all I need.
What sorta bloat where? If you are comparing Nero 7 to nero 6 burning rom I can understand. If however you are comparing it to Nero 6 Ultra then the bloat ware is already there. Mind you most of the bloat ware is actually pretty decent software, not all needed, but if it's all pretty good.
Here is what I am looking at...but I dont want to cut myself short in that this seems to be a slimmed down version like a LITE....so is this what i want?
I am just a simple user as in putting my kids pics and videos on dvd for distribution to family and then some basic back up stuff of my PC and DVD's.....
Is this what i want?
I found 7 Ultra for $20...just got it in....
Any thoughts as to anything to be aware of on installation?
but ended up w/ 7 ultra...for 20 didtn think bad price...
Can you load it w/o blowtware? or is all in one type thing (Although compared to Roxio, I cant believe this is going to be any worse...lol)
now they got 6.6 ultra for 3...lol...my luck
That's what I do. Verison 7 is supported in Vista, which may be a selling point for some.
Try dvd shrink for making and burning backups of DVDs.
