Boot into Safe Mode (Press F8 at the BIOS screen when you start your computer) and fix these in HijackThis:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1ec40901-70c9-492b-b600-98ad2550ce7c} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\msauare.dll
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: msauare - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msauare.dll

Still in Safe Mode, find and delete the file
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msauare.dll

Then reboot and post a new HijackThis log.

Nope, you'd definately know if you booted into safe mode. All your settings to customize windows wouldn't be there and it would say "safe mode" in all four corners of your screen. This is because safe mode runs only the bare minimum of programs that windows needs, which is why it is so great (sometimes) for removing spyware, trojans, worms, etc.

It looks like its gotten worse since the last post so I'd like you to try booting into safe mode again and fixing these:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1ec40901-70c9-492b-b600-98ad2550ce7c} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\msauare.dll
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {DEBEB52F-CFA6-4647-971F-3EDB75B63AFA} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\tmp1.tmp.dll
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [setup] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\ssrpqp.dll",realset
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: msauare - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msauare.dll

    And deleting these files:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\tmp1.tmp.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\ssrpqp.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msauare.dll

If you are unsure of when to press F8 to boot into safe mode, your best bet would be to just repeatedly tap it until you are given a menu of what mode you want to boot in. Then use the keyboard arrow keys to select safe mode (without networking, if you are given the option), and enter to select it, since you can't use the mouse at this point in the booting process. You won't be able to access the internet in safe mode, so you might want to print off a copy of this post.

    Hi Renee,

Could you post a new HijackThis log please.

Also, you ran VundoFix earlier. A log should be located at C:\VundoFix.txt - please post that, too...if available. :)

Edit: Another log I'd like to see...
    • Run Hijackthis.
    • Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
    • Next click on Open uninstall manager.
    • Press the Save list button.
    • Save the file to your desktop, with the default name of uninstall_list
    • Copy & Paste the entire contents of that file back here.

    Hi Renee,

    Please do the following...

    1. Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update to the latest version...

    Updating Java:
    • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1.
    • Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications."
    • Click the "Download" button to the right.
    • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement."
    • The page will refresh.
