Nvidia has been working hard on a re-spin of its market leading GeForce 8800GTX. The reason for this is to bring the top notch graphics to the portable laptop market. The current leading GPU is Nvidia's 7950 GO which is still fetching a nice $300+ upgrade on your Dell notebook, and with the release of a new chip we should see a new era of graphics for the enthusiast market.

Nvidia is targeting the new GPU to run on a 22W power envelope which also allows for the potential for not one, but 2 G80 chips running in SLI. Expect to see 2 to 3 variants of the chipset with the GTX, GT, and GS letters following the name. The chips will most definetly be slower than the desktop versions, but they will take graphics to the next step above the current 7 Series "GO" chips. Also remember Nvidia has dropped the "GO" title and will most likely follow the names with an "M" such as "GeForce 8800M GTX".
