"New" as in I made it 6 months ago instead of 3 years ago. There isn't a NEW new one yet... :range:

Same problem here (IE7). The background images doesn't seem to load (most of the time, sometimes does though), thus leaving a white background with white text on it (only the stars are visible).

If I go here for instance: http://short-media.com/leo/images/sigs/arcs_aqua.gif

I get nothing :) But after messing around a little (refresh and so on), it updates to http://icrontic.com/leo/images/sigs/arcs_aqua.gif, and the gif shows.

Maybe a dns problem? As the sig background url's still point to short-media.com...I see you use /leo/images/stars/*.gif relative url's for the star gifs (and these seems to work fine all the time for me), maybe using a relative url instead of absolute for the backgrounds also, will work better.

That could explain why sometimes I see the stars, but not the rest of the sig.

    Good to see you Isevald!

I think that was part of an understanding that some of the sigs would retain the old SM names- but yeah, there may soon be some Icrontic equivalents.

    Thanks Gargoyle

While on the subject, I can only get [folding_sig2] to work

Saving to Slot 1 and using [folding_sig1] doesn't seem to output anything.

Have you gone here and read the instructions?

The database does not have a signature for you in it. Have you made a signature with the new generator and hit the "submit signature" button? :)

Yes, i clicked submit and copied the code completely and pasted it in the User CP.

    What am I doing wrong?

Copied the code? There is no code to copy.

You just hit submit, then put [noparse][folding_sig1] or [folding_sig2][/noparse] in your sig.

Do you have your signature turned on? Do you have the forum software set to display signatures?

Yeah, dude, there's no code. You're using the old sig generator.

I used the new sig generator and pasted [folding_sig1] in the edit signature area and clicked save signature. When I click preview signature all I see is [folding_sig1] not the graphic signature.

What am i doing wrong? Thrax? How are you making my signature? Help!!

I don't know. I just selected your name from the list, picked the background I wanted, the position of the stars and hit "save." Then I put [folding_sig1] in my signature.

Chip, first, the signature preview never works for these sigs - it only appears in threads.

Second, are you cookied? Meaning, are you automatically logged in every time you visit, or do you type in your username and password every time?

    Minor design error:

    attachment.php?attachmentid=23591&stc=1&d=1184702799

    <table border='0' cellpadding='5' cellspacing='0' background='http://short-media.com/leo/images/sigs/arcs_aqua.gif' width='400' height='32'><tr><td width='400' height='32' valign='middle' align='right'>

The td cell size properties should equal table size properties-(cellpadding*2):

    <td width='390' height='22' valign='middle' align='right'>

Keep up the good work keebs :respect:

Oh crap, I keep forgetting that IE and FF interpret that differently. I forget to test in IE sometimes

I have done it both ways. Currently I am automatically logged in when i visit. I understand the signature doesnt work in preview...but it never appears when I post...check the thread...never any sig when i post.

Choose your username, then paste this directly into the "tweaks" window, "save" to slot 1, and let's see what happens.
    [PHP]<!width:400><!color:000000><table border='0' cellpadding='5' cellspacing='0' background='http://short-media.com/leo/images/sigs/arcs_aqua.gif' width='400' height='32'><tr><td width='400' height='32' valign='middle' align='right'><span class='folding' style='color:#<!FontHex>;font-size:<!FontSize>px;width:100%;padding:3px;font-family:<!FontFam>'><b><!My:NameDisplay>:</b> Score: <!My:Score> WU: <!My:Units> Rank: <!My:Rank></span></td></tr></table>[/PHP]

seems like i have two sigs now......what do I do to get the top one to stay and the bottom one to go?

You ended up with two copies in the "tweak" window. Go ahead and remake it from scratch now. If my "theory" is correct, you should be fine from now on.

I think there's an issue with the first use of Slot 1. It seems like after I start it off for someone, they don't have trouble after that. Weird bug. :-/
