I got hit hard. Help greatly appreciated.

I'm at my wit's end on this one. Somewhere in the past 24 hours I got slammed with a major virus and/or spyware bomb and it has absolutely crippled my browsing and incapacitated most of my anti-spyware programs.

HijackThis closes immediately upon opening. Renaming the exe does not work and CoolWWWShredder says that particular virus is not present. Also, and this may sound crazy, but if I go to google and google hijackthis (anything else works fine) the webpage immediately closes.

Ad-Aware says my definitions are 1000+ days old (which they aren't) but when I try to connect to lavasoft it says there are not components available.

I've found multiple files and keys on my own, some I've successfully deleted, others come back immediately, others come back only if I open my browser, and at least three I cannot delete at all (drivime.dll, lcygnmwaoiar.dll, and powvtroesoos.dll).

My hosts file was replaced with a bunch of spam sites, but I've recovered that (or at least I had, it may have been replaced again).

My Mcafee isn't working right now, but all their online scan pulled up was a bunch of stuff in my temp folder and nothing else really conclusive.

RootkitRevealer pulled up a couple things, but I removed the successfully.

Any advice on where to manually look or programs to d/l would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

When I try to install AVG, even the installation gets closed by whatever's closing my hijackthis, even in Safe Mode.

Is there no way to manually find and remove whatever is in my registry that is causing at least that part?

    Hi!

    Do you have RootkitRevealer's log?

    ***********

Please download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combo.exe to launch the application.
Follow the prompts that will be displayed on the screen.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.
When finished, it should produce a log, combofix.txt.

Please, post Rootkit Revealer's log too, if you have it..
