In the wee hours of today, the boys at TheInq were sipping a proper cuppa and musing over AMD's presence, or lack thereof at the very important Computex Expo. What they concluded was that not only was the Phenom not visible for public consumption, so to speak, but that the effervescence of partners and AMD had waned considerably.

As a long-time AMD fan, I just don't see things going well for them right now, and it's disappointing.

The IT world just wouldn't be the same if AMD falters, even temporarily - proper, timely Barcelona/Agena execution is really "to be or not to be" for the company.

Maybe not so much a fan as a user- ibid

I really would like to know the full story behind all this.

Nah, I'm a fan. I love AMD. I have so much unique and once-in-a-blue-moon promotional material; hats, mint cases, playing cards, yo-yos.. I just can't justify my support. Like your favorite team that you've lost heart for.
