Whats this Gaming rig worth

edited June 2007 in Hardware
Have a chance to buy a nice gaming rig for $2500 but was wondering because its overclocked is it going to cause me trouble later. I added up the parts and it would cost me 3500 to build here in Canada. So should I be jumping on this deal or pass? Should i get him to run 3dmark06 for me. Was going to just buy a dell xps 710 but this cheaper.

Those are great components, but you need to have him run the following tests:
ORTHOS and Prime 95 for 24 hours.
    Memtest for 24 hours

If those both pass, then I'd feel fine buying the system.

So i should email him to run ORTHOS, Prime 95 and Memtest for 24 hours and I will come tomorrow to see the results? Or do each one them have to be run alone. He has couple people interested so like to get soon before it gone.

Prime95 and ORTHOS can be run together, Memtest must be run by itself. Give memtest 8 hours instead of 24, so you can get your hands on it a little quicker.
