First up, the gents at Toshiba have developed a technology they think will break the 32nm barrier for the production of circuits. I'm not much of a chip engineer, but a reduction in transistor resistance seems to have done the trick. You can read more about it here.

A gentleman at MaximumPC purchased a Soyo SY-P4I865PE plus DRAGON board in August of 2004. It is now June of 2007, and he just now received the MIR that would've made the motherboard free. Soyo is attempting to improve its credit rating from an amazing "F," and seem to be at a "B" rating now, which is quite a jump. Read more about it: here.

The Wii, which is very expensive in the Latin American market due to the relative value of the US dollar, is still doing remarkably well. Why, you inquire? Mod chips! Yes, the console is just so blazingly fun that the high price, when mitigated by a modchip, presents a value. You can read more: Here.

Microsoft, in a valiant effort to remedy the red rings of death that have plagued its Xbox 360, has amped up the cooling in their next-gen doodad. Boasting a new heatsink unit and some more heatpipe action in certain, temperature-critical areas, the newer versions are no longer supposed to double for boat anchors after 24 hours of hot GoW action. Check it: Here.

In mundane news, makers of AIB graphics cards are reporting that Vista hasn't helped them at all. Shocker, really: Here. They're not the only ones.

Creative Labs, the boffins (Too much Inq...) behind the infamous soundblaster cards, has elected to remove itself from the NASDAQ US stock exchange, four years after its initial announcement. It continues to tick in Singapore, the holy land of all things silicon, but the cost of listing and trading volume of the NASDAQ are amongst the reasons cited for the voluntary action. See: Here.

And a quick one: The incredible missing chip, the Phenom, has a numbering scheme. Check it: Here.

Frankenpost, I release thee!
